6:30 | Contemplative Labyrinth Walk
7:00 | Longest Night Service
A quiet service of light, prayer, and song to hold the less shiny feelings of the season.
Longest Night: A service of ritual for the sad, the lonely, and the broken hearted
The Longest Night service is a 45-minute gathering for those who If your heart is newly broken, or annually tender, this is a place for you. It is intended for those who have lost a loved one, ended a relationship, lost a job or a dream. For anyone who finds the holiday season complicated than merry and bright. We will sing carols, light candles, take time for quiet. All held in the beauty of a candle lit sanctuary, you can come as you are and participate as you like. This is NOT a night when you will be pushed out of your comfort zone. As always, we hold space for the full participation of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
We will create a calm and safe space for people to celebrate the wonder of the season while also holding the grief heavy in their hearts. Rooted in the Christmas story the gathering is open to all faiths or those with no faith affiliation.
A contemplative labyrinth walk will be open for your individual prayer practice starting at 6:30. You can attend one or both parts of the evening. Hot cider to follow.
