This annual retreat is offered to women and those who identify as women at the beautiful Tatamagouche Centre. Each year a theme is developed and approximately 20-25 women enjoy the time to reflect, experience the natural surroundings, connect with each other in fun and through the Spirit. October 6, 2024(3 events) – Our Red Wagon is where we bring our non-perishable food in support of the food bank at Beacon House (in Lower Sackville). Beacon House would also like to encourage us to donate money for the food bank as they know how to stretch a dollar and buy more! There is a white locked box on the red wagon for these donations (checks made out to Beacon House, please). November 1, 2024(1 event) – Learn about fabric selection, preparing fabric, measuring, cutting with rotary tools, binding. Project will use the quilt-as-you-go technique. Participants must also attend the 2-hour information session on October 1st. Leave the 2-day workshop with a completed, quilted table runner, like the sample here: Workshop fee $50 (in support of Bedford United's operating fund). Space is limited to 12. For the workshop, participants will need to bring: Sewing machine, cutting tools, fabric (already washed & pressed), and lunch. Please register: valeriewelsh1@gmail.com |
