Greetings Everyone,
Every Christmas season we decorate a tree on the yard at 1200 Bedford Highway with a spectacular array of lights. Each light represents an individual who has made a difference in your life or honours the memory of a loved one no longer with you.
Bedford United offers this tree to the entire community, as a bright symbol of the hope and peace of this season. Bedford, this is your tree: a beacon of hope, a tangible reminder of the people in our lives who have made our communities richer for their presence.
The tree is generously donated by the Bedford Lions Club, (be sure to check out their tree lot on Bedford United’s parking lot across from the tree). All donations contribute to Bedford United’s efforts to create communities of radical hospitality and generous compassion. Bedford United is a church rooted in values of respect and diversity. You don’t need to be part of church to add your light. We welcome the lights of all faith traditions and no faith tradition. Our community is richer for our diversity.
Whether you can contribute a light or not, you are welcome to gather with your neighbours when the tree is lit on December 1st.

Just as BUC needs people to volunteer and serve to create God’s intended community in the world, we also need financial support. Financial support is another way that we can express our gratitude for God’s gifts to us. Your financial gifts are used by our community to provide a ministry of hope, encouragement, compassion and justice in our community and the wider world. We encourage you to give generously.
